What is Manychat?
Manychat is the #1 automation platform for creators. It lets you build marketing automations across Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook Messenger that engage, grow, and monetize your following. Below are the four automations most relevant to this campaign. Use these as reference when choosing which feature to highlight in your video.
Automation 01: Comment to DM
Automatically replies to a follower's comment and sends them a DM. One of Manychat's most widely used automations. Creators set a keyword trigger on a post or Reel, and anyone who comments gets an instant reply plus a direct message with whatever the creator wants to send (a link, a freebie, a checkout page).
What it does
- Captures buyers at peak intent, the moment they comment, before they scroll away.
- Turns every post into a funnel entry point without the creator lifting a finger.
- Feeds the algorithm by driving comment and DM activity simultaneously.
Pillar fit: More Buyers, More Visibility.
Automation 02: Collect Emails
Seamlessly requests email addresses directly inside an Instagram DM conversation. If a follower does not share their email the first time, Manychat automatically follows up. Emails can be exported to CSV or synced to Kajabi, Kit, Teachable, and more.
What it does
- Builds an owned list the creator controls, independent of the algorithm.
- Turns social followers into direct contacts with full customer profiles.
- Creates a direct channel to share offers, launches, and updates.
Pillar fit: More Recognition, More Buyers.
Automation 03: Follow to DM
When a creator gives away something of value (an ebook, discount, coupon, or exclusive content), this automation verifies the user is following before delivering it. If they are not following yet, the automation prompts them to follow to receive the gift.
What it does
- Grows the creator's following with people who are genuinely interested in their content.
- Protects gated value so only followers receive what the creator is offering.
- Creates a natural, low-friction exchang
Automation 04: Story Reply
Automatically sends a DM to anyone who replies to your Instagram story. When someone sends a fire emoji, a heart, or any message on your story, Manychat catches it and replies instantly with whatever you want to send, a thank you, a promo link, a secret offer, anything. Set it up once and it works on every story automatically.
What it does
- Catches every story reply before it disappears, so no lead slips through the 24-hour window.
- Turns casual story engagement into real DM conversations at scale.
- Works for promos, discounts, and secret links. Someone replies to the story, they get the offer in their DMs instantly.
Pillar fit: More Visibility, More Buyers.
Every video must follow this six-beat order. Phrasing is yours. Order is not flexible.
- 01
IG-native hook: in the first 3 to 5 seconds. Must feel native to the platform, not like an ad. Pattern interrupt, confession, counter-intuitive claim, paradox, or 'POV' framing. No branded intro, no slow build, no logo opener. The hook earns the watch time for the rest of the video.
- 02
Pain point: the audience instantly recognizes (manual DM burnout, leaky funnel, fear of scaling, drowning in 'how do I join' messages, renting attention from the algorithm).
- 03
Manychat: named aloud as the turn. This is where the product enters the story.
- 04
Solution: explained through at least one specific feature in action (Comment to DM, Flow Builder, Triggers, Smart Delay, DM Keywords, Voice Notes, Collect Emails, etc.). Feature named must match the pillar the video is serving.
- 05
Outcome: the creator personally experienced. Real result, real story, real felt-sense ('I wake up to sales now, ' '500 comments turned into 500 DMs, ' 'I run a real business now').
- 06
CTA: pointing to the free trial. Some version of 'click below' or 'start your free trial' must be spoken. Other Required Elements
Serve one pillar: More Buyers, More Visibility, or More Recognition. Pick the one that matches your story.
Name an integration: at least one by name (Kajabi, Kit, Teachable, or another tool you actually use). Can sit inside the Solution or Outcome beat.
Land the identity shift: from 'winging it' or 'operator' to running a real, professional business. The 'Grow Your Empire' frame should be felt, even if not said verbatim.
Suggested (Options, not obligations)
Mention the Official Meta Partner status to add credibility.
Acknowledge the bot fear directly: 'I was worried it'd feel like a bot, but it sounds exactly like me. '
Use a felt-sense reframe near the end. 'Grow your business, not your workload' or similar.
Show, do not just tell. Quick screen recordings or DM previews ground the claims.
End on empowerment, not pressure. The CTA should feel like an invitation, not a sales push.
04Audience
Who is the target audience?
Open on a person who recognises themselves the moment your video starts. Specificity beats reach.
Who this is for
- 01Course creators and coaches with a proven offer
- 02Creators stuck in "operator mode" who want to run a real business
- 03Educators drowning in manual DMs who'd rather teach than do tech
What's frustrating them
- 01Manual DM burnout from repetitive "how do I join?" messages
- 02Leaky funnel — buyers lost between a comment and the bio link
- 03Scaling feels like collapse: more followers, not more income
- 04Renting attention from the algorithm, never owning the audience
- 05Tool complexity — wants to teach, not become a tech operator
05Hooks & tone
What tone and angles should you bring?
Copy a ready-made scenario word-for-word if it fits — those are good to film as-is. The hook bank is suggestions only, so treat those as starting points and make them sound like you.
Tone
- 01Confident, direct, friend-to-friend — never salesy
- 02Your own voice leads, not a script reading
- 03IG-native, not an ad. No corporate jargon
- 04End on invitation, not pressure
Hook bank
- 01
